.The barras market is a great way to spend the morning or afternoon shopping for bargains at the various stalls in the area that has become the barras. On your way round the market you will find my stall in the main barras market hall ( beneath the barrowland ballroom main building ) where there is many interesting stalls  and in this post I am featuring the WATCH AND BELT STALL next to me .The snack bar is opposite my stall if you need to grab a bite on the go and you can view the many sample portraits on the stall that show the great value and standard of work that you can expect from me and you can request a free no obligation quote for your portrait. you can leave your photo with a small deposit and your portrait is ready for collection one or two weeks later.The prices start at only £35 for a single person pencil portrait size 12 inch by 16 inch. at the glasgow barras on weekends

I am at the Glasgow barras every weekend and I am available for orders etc. The barras market opens on a saturday and sunday only  and I am usually available at the stall from 9 am. till 3.30 pm. in the indoor market hall next to the snack bar. I am found most weekends working on sample portraits and you can come and see for yourself the excellent quality and value of my work.

You can order at the stall by handing in your photo and your portrait is usually ready in one to two weeks for collection. also online website

Hello I am David Gilchrist, an experienced artist with a stall / gallery at the famous glasgow barras indoor market. I paint or draw by hand people and pets from clients own photos to a very high standard and you will be amazed at the likeness from the photos .

 I am present at the market every weekend where I can meet with the public, show my work, have a chat and take orders for portraits from customers own photos. I work in oil colour on canvas, pencil drawings and colour pastel drawings Many weekends I am also working live on demonstration portraits and many people like to stop and watch me in action and take home a price list and business card for future use. 

You are welcome to come along and view my work and have a chat or watch me at work . Clients hand in photos at the stall and collect in one or two weeks time.
